Forschungsschwerpunkte

In joint research with the ThyssenKrupp Presta Camshafts group, the most important joining technology for assembled camshafts will for the first time be extended to the use of aluminum shafts in combination with steel cams. Due to the different thermal expansion coefficients of the two materials, a comprehensive high precision simulation of the very complex, multi-stage manufacturing process is needed to achieve results of industrial relevance.
