Forschungsschwerpunkte

This project deals with the production of SiC and Al2O3 particle-reinforced AMCs and their evaluation them in terms of design, properties and subsequent processing. In the next project phase, tailor made matrices will allow a systematic study of the influence of individual alloying elements as well as tailoring individual properties. A method for in-situ powder consolidation during ECAP will be developed and evaluated to increase the efficiency of the processing route. Moreover, the high-temperature behavior of these novel materials is not well known today and will be investigated.
